Mr. Bennett has been employed as a civil engineer for the past thirty-six years. During his early career he served as a member of the Air Force where most of his time was spent as a Construction Inspector. Then for the next 19 years he worked for Southern Division NAVFAC where he worked as a Design Engineer in the Pavements section of the Civil Branch. It was during this timeframe where he gained experience in Asphalt/Concrete Pavements and Airfield Design. Designing 36 airfield projects of which 13 were runway construction/reconstruction projects and another 15 with pavement repair (spall and crack) projects. While at Southern Division he was acknowledged as a subject matter expert in Civil Engineering and Pavements, specializing in Airfield Pavements. Entering private practice, he has served in various capacities from engineering support to project engineer for a wide variety of projects. His responsibilities as lead designer require him to maintain technical expertise in all aspects of civil engineering including concrete and pavement design, roadway and runway construction/reconstruction, water/sanitary, storm utility infrastructure development, foundation design, soils analysis and evaluation, grading, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, permitting, and all general elements of site development and planning. He has extensive experience in preparation and review of bid documents and specifications, evaluation of bidders, and contract negotiation. In addition, he has considerable field experience in construction supervision, inspection, and coordination with contractors.

As a project engineer, he provides overall management from concept development through construction. His position requires close coordination of all civil design with architectural and other related engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, etc.) He is responsible for budget planning, scheduling, and general supervision to insure project goals are met. Throughout his career he has been responsible for planning, design, and construction of numerous multi-million-dollar projects.
